The fallen leaves blanket the ground.  Tonight (Halloween) the kiddos will be crunching through them on their way to filling their pockets with candy.

Funny how the sound of candy being unwrapped is so similar to the crunching of dried leaves underfoot.

Here in the village we are trying to figure out what to do with the leaves.  We don’t know the protocol or what day the street sweeper goes by. The only thing we really do know is that our sidewalk is looking very leafy.  The little yellow ones are making their way into the apartment.  It’s annoying but at the same time I like it.  It feels like home.
